Modi government's big gift will be double of subsidy on LPG gas cylinder


New Delhi: The Modi government of the Center has faced opposition after a huge increase in the price of crude gas cylinders, which has brought a big relief to the domestic gas consumers. The central government has almost doubled the subsidy on domestic gas cylinders. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas released a statement on Thursday. He also cited the reason for the increase in gas prices.

According to the Petroleum Ministry, Delhi has so far received subsidy of 143 kg to Rs 153.86, which has been increased to Rs 291.48. In this way, the subsidy on connections distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme has been increased to Rs 312.48 per cylinder at the rate of Rs 174.86 per cylinder.

Do you know that the price of subsidized domestic LPG 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been increased by Rs 144.50? On the other hand, the price of subsidized domestic LPG cylinder has been increased from Rs 714 to Rs 858.50.

Why LPG Prices Go Up
During January 2020, the domestic price of LPG has been increased from $ 448 per MT to $ 567 per MT.
Subsidy to over 26 million consumers
The government stated that at present, national LPG coverage is around 97% with over 27.76 crore connections. The government has increased about 26.12 crore customers out of about 27.76 crores.
